'Onsight' is a climbing term which refers to someone walking up to a climbing route and completing it first try without ever having seen anyone on it or having any information on the route prior to climbing.
Upon completion the climber would say; "Yeah son, I Onsighted it" !

Not everyone at Onsight is a climber but we can all relate to, and strive towards it's meaning, which is to successfully complete something at first attempt.
